Tfilat Haderech – the short prayer recited by one who travels out of his or her “comfort zone”, uses wonderful phraseology citing the various perils of travel that we ask God to save us from – “foe, ambush, pirates, wild animals and all kinds of catastrophes on the face of the earth”. This piece puts a face on those demons, placing them on black boxes – recording our movement and inviting us to carry them along as we move onward.

‘Bring Us Back in One Peace’ will be on exhibit for the first time at the JCC in Manhattan as part of the exhibit “Off Label: Ceremonial Objects Imagined”.
The exhibit will be on view between April 4th and July 30th.
